Hawzah News Agency- To mark the 20th anniversary of the foundation of the Scientific Association of Islamic Psychology, a conference is set to be held at the Management Center of Seminaries in Qom, Iran, on Monday, May 20.
The scientific secretary of the 20th anniversary conference of the foundation of the Islamic Psychology Association Hujjat al-Islam Mohammad Mahdi Abbasi said this at a press conference on Monday.
“One of the blessings of Qom seminaries has been the foundation of scientific associations in such a way that the foundation of scientific associations can greatly contribute to improved directions and policies and to determine the main strategies, following which, many associations have been created,” he noted.
A member of the faculty of the Research Institute for Islamic Culture and Thought added, “The Scientific Association of Islamic Psychology was founded in 2001 by the efforts of a group of highly educated professors of Qom Seminaries, some of whom also had a university education, and today the 20th-anniversary conference of this association is set to be held after serving for two decades, coinciding the birth anniversary of Imam Reza (PBUH).”
“This conference is scheduled to be held on Monday, May 31, from 8:00 am to noon, featuring the speech of Ayatollah Alireza Arafi, head of Iran's Seminaries, and the unveiling of the association’s vision document,” he continued.
Referring to the objectives of the conference, Hujjat al-Islam Abbasi Aghawi stated, “The 20th-anniversary conference is aimed at providing a forum for the exchange of ideas, getting familiar with the scientific figures of Islamic psychology, Introducing the heritage of Islamic psychology, presenting what has been collected during recent years to the scientific community, setting up an exhibition of achievements of Islamic psychology centers and seminaries institutes and higher education in the province, presenting the work report of the 16 centers that collaborate in organizing this conference and exhibition, synergy in the path of the school of Islamic psychology, etc.”
The author of “From How-to Speech Knowledge to Giving a Speech” book further noted, “Today, thanks to the blessings of Qom seminaries, and the educational scientific, and research institutes and centers of the university and seminaries that are serving, Qom is one of the most prominent and important centers of psychology in the country, in a way that today the scientific community of the country regards Qom as the hub of Islamic psychology.”
